time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptyFri Oct 29, 2010 9:19 pm

Reno woke up early just as he did everyday for a while now. He then started cooking some eggs and warmed himself some coffee as he just thought of things, nothing in particular just about all kind of things really. Reno wondered what would he have to do that day. He doubted that this day will bring him freedom since it didn’t seemed that way to him. It wasn’t his luck before so why would now would be any different? At least that was what he thought anyway. Not long after that Reno shock his thoughts away and put his eggs on a plate and poured his coffee in the cop. After that he ate and drank.

As soon as he was done eating and drinking his phone rang as he got it then answered it. Reno talked on it for a while then hanged up, then packed his things up and as soon as he was done with that he climbed on his bike and headed to Las Vegas. As he drew to Las Vegas he just looked around himself, he smiled to some ladies he passed by who smiled at him. Reno watched anything he passed by and kept wondering why was he called to go there. It wasn’t the first time and he doubted that it was going to be the last time but he still wanted to know what case were they going to work on now.

It really did interest Reno, in fact every time they worked on something new it interested him a great deal. Because he liked being a bounty hunter and he liked using his fun tricks and wits to catch the bad guys. Reno then made a sudden stop in the gas station and filled his bike. After that he climbed back on and kept on riding to where he was supposed to meet Bobby. Once he got there he parked and looked at Bobby and Chey who stood next to Bobby’s hummer and talked. It took them a few minutes but eventually they saw Reno and walked over as Chey smiled at him and he smiled back but Bobby complained how late he was, which made Reno and Chey both roll their eyes. After a few minutes of talking, Chey and Bobby entered the mini bus and drew off as Reno followed.

Few minutes later he saw them park next to a big casino place as he parked not to far from them. Reno watched them walked over to him as they talked a bit then all headed in side and talked to the owner who was friends With Both Bobby and his half sister, Chey. Reno and Chey exchanged smiles and looks here and there without Bobby noticing. Then they all got rooms, Reno and Chey again pretended to be a married couple and shared a room, also at first Bobby objected but then agreed, reluctantly so. Bobby, got his own room. From that moment they started working on the case. It took them five days to close the case but they did, they Chey and Bobby headed back as Reno stayed a bit longer.

He walked in to a coffee shop and ordered himself a drink as he then paid for it and then set somewhere by himself. Then Reno got his order and sipped from it and then looked around himself.

Audrey wasn’t a gambler, per se, but Las Vegas did have its perks. Hustling was a trade that most hunters excelled at and she had been feeling a bit on the wild side when she hoped into her vintage 1970 AMX and headed to sin city itself. After so much hard work and dedication it was high time that Audrey indulged in a few of the more fun things in life like, boozing it up, winning big money, and even more important spending the winnings. As she sped down the highway Las Vegas was lit up, bright neon lights flashing like a carnival attraction and a surge of excitement course through the young twenty-two year old. Recklessness was in the air and Audrey simply couldn’t wait to drive into it.

The casinos were her first stop. A never-ending party was still at its prime with the gamblers laughing, drinking, and most of them losing ungodly amounts of money. After changing out her cash for chips Audrey headed into the pit to get her gamble on. As a waitress in a skimpy dress that was heavy on the cleavage passed by with a tray Audrey ordered her a whiskey and went over to the Black Jack table. Hours passed and Audrey’s chips kept plying up. She wasn’t greedy by any means and before the pit bosses started to get huffy Audrey cashed in.

A young group of people was headed out of the casino at the same time that Audrey was. One of the males spotted Audrey and planted a sloppy, drunken kiss on her taking her by surprise. He was attractive so she didn’t have much of a problem with it. The group asked her if she would be willing to come along with them to a party in their suite and Audrey agreed. She spent the entire night dancing and drinking with the random people enjoying herself. But when morning came and the others were almost all passed out Audrey slipped out and headed to the closest coffee shop.

The setting inside was much quieter and a welcome relief by that point. Still, it was packed in there and once Audrey had ordered her coffee she needed to find some where to sit. The first open seat that she saw was at a table with a lone man sitting at it. She weaved her way through the tables and stood for a moment at the empty chair. “Mind if I join you?” That had mostly been a rhetorical question because before the man could answer Audrey had pulled out the chair and sat down nursing at the steamy liquid inside the trendy coffee cup.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 2:49 am

Reno looked up at the girl as soon as he heard her speak and smiled at her as he watched her sit down. It was fine with him that she set there even so he knew that she asked him a rhetorical question but even if it was a real question it would still be fine by him, no matter what. After all Reno was a nice and caring guy, a gentleman in fact and as such he didn’t mind if a person set next to the same table as him or even next to him. It was another reason why he didn’t say nothing, other then the fact that the question was rhetorical that is. The young woman that set with Reno was pretty and he didn’t deny it but she also seemed lost in thoughts as he was so he said nothing to her as he took another sip of his drink. Reno then looked around at the people around them then sighed and took another sip of his coffee and after that he looked at her again. “Hello there” He said to her with a smile as he then looked away from her as he waited for her to reply.

“I am Vince Black, and you are?” Reno said to her as he was trying to introduce himself to her. He waited for her to reply as he wondered what would she possibly say. Reno was only trying to make a conversation with her as she already set not to far from him as well as next to the same table, so he figured that he might as well start talking to her and get a conversation started between them. He figured if he started a conversation with her then they won’t feel all alone or at least he won’t feel all alone which would be rather good. Reno hated feeling lonely just as he was sure that she felt too, or at least that what he thought anyhow. He knew that he could be wrong about that but somehow he doubted though. “Are you new or are you from around here?” he asked her over sudden curiously.

Reno then took another sip from his coffee as he waited for her to reply to him. He hoped that he didn’t make her feel indomitable or anything like that as that wasn’t what he planned on doing at all. After all it wasn’t like Reno at all, that was for sure. “It is a nice small coffee place, isn’t it?” He said as he didn’t want the conversation to die as well as he thought that would be nice to have a conversation going. He wasn’t going to force her to have a conversation with him but he still hoped that she won’t mind to have a conversation with him. All Reno could do was hope and that was exactly what he did. He thought that she seemed nice which was why he decided to start a conversation with her.

Reno wasn’t sure if she was in the mood for a conversation but he was. However, if she just ignored him then he will do the same even if it hurt him a little, it was fine as far as he was concerned as he was used to that by now. His long hair at the moment was in a ponytail but the part that wasn’t, was getting in to his face so he just moved it as he looked around at all the people in there then back at her. Reno smiled at her then took another sip. “I guess you are not interested in making small talks, are you? It’s ok if not I understand. No worries it’s cool. I am sorry” he said to her as he really did mean it as he meant everything else too. Reno only lied about his name but no one but his dad, brother, his enemy, his deceased fiancé’ , chey and bobby and Dutch and few more people knew of that. Which he was fine with it but one day when and as soon as he would be free he will finally use his real name but for now he just did what he did best.

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 4:05 am

At first Audrey hadn’t been sure if the man across from her would strike up a conversation. Sitting down at the same table didn’t necessarily mean that he had to be some big chatterbox. There were usually two types of people that frequented coffee shops and stayed. The first type was the one that went there to meet people, which automatically made them willing to carry on a conversation with someone else. The second type was the lone, broody kind who simply stayed at the shops drinking their coffee for lack of else where to be. She was beginning to lean toward the latter as the silence loomed. In the meantime though Audrey looked her silent companion over. He, she couldn’t help but notice, had the likeness of Fabio with his long hair, chiseled features and muscular build.

When he did speak up though, introducing himself Audrey was faced with telling him the truth or a lie. She wasn’t on a job so lying was required so she deemed fit to tell him her real name but only her first name. “Nice to meet you Vince. I’m Audrey.” She flashed him a brilliant smile wanting to come off as friendly and approachable. When it came to the type of coffee shop drinker Audrey was she typically leaned toward type one. Hunters got lonely too and coffee shop talk was easy and quick. You could have those few minutes of genuine human interaction without any of the strings attached.

Sipping at her own coffee, which Audrey drank black half sugar/ half cream, she listened to Vince speaking to her again after another moment of silence. “I’m just on vacation here. I sort of just got in the car and decided, ‘hey, Vegas might be fun’. So here I am.” Looking around at all the other customers she noticed a couple in the corner arguing in hushed tones. It was so domestic that Audrey couldn’t really bare the sight of it. That Apple Pie life just wasn’t in the realm of possibility for her and she was happy with it being so. “It is a rather quaint place.”

Audrey was still trying to figure Vince out. It was the reason why she had been allowing him to carry on the conversation for so long with only brief inserts from her. But she didn’t want to turn him completely off to the idea of having a conversation with her. It filled the time. “Oh, its not that I don’t want to talk. I just had a rough night last night so I have to let the coffee wake me up a bit.” This was a lie. Audrey could drink alcohol like a champ so there wasn’t any hang over prohibiting her but it sounded plausible enough. “So tell me Vince are you a local or are you just hitting the Craps table for a bit of extra lining in your pockets?”

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 4:59 am

Reno noticed that she was answering but not as much as he expected, it was fine with him just as long as she really wanted to talk. However what she said next made him feel better. He of course listened to everything she said as here and there he just nodded to her in understanding. When she said the next Reno who was also knows as Vince laughed a little and shock his head. “None of the two, I am not a local and am not here to hit the craps tables for a bit of extra lining in my pockets. I am a bounty here and I came here 5 days ago to catch some criminals and get paid for it and that what I did. They left however while I decided to stay.” he said to her simply as it was the truth. After that Reno took another sip of his coffee. “So, what about you?” he asked her curiously as he wondered why was she there and all. Reno already got the fact that she was new there because she answered but that was all.

He looked down then back at her as he smiled at her and sighed. Reno noticed that she was looking him over as he could feel it but it was alright as he was used to that by now, so it didn’t really bother him at all. Once it bothered him but not anymore so, that was for sure. “By the way you got a very pretty name there” Reno said to her with a smile. He really did think that her name was pretty but then again her name was really pretty. Reno then took another sip from his coffee as after that he just drank all his coffee then ordered more. As soon as he got his order he just paid for it then set back down with it and sipped from it as he waited for a reply. Reno was hoping that he didn’t embarrassed her pr anything like that, as it wasn’t what he meant to do at all, no matter what.

“Are you Alright? I didn’t mean to hurt or embarrass you but I am sorry if I did so” he said to her and sighed as he looked her over as he waited for her to reply. Reno then took another sip from his coffee as he waited for her to reply. He wished that she talked more so it won’t be just him talking, not that he minded just it was better when both people talked then one so he won’t feel like he was talking to himself. Sure he wasn’t going to force her but still. Reno noticed a couple not to far away who were fighting and arguing not to far away but ignored them. He also didn’t went over to talk to them and all as he wanted no problems, as well as he was rather to stay away from situations like that. Reno only planned to help when it was really needed not before or anything like that.

He wondered what happened between the two but just shock his head and tried to think about other things, rather then about why the couple were arguing and all. After all it wasn’t his business. Unless the guy hit’s the girl then he would make it his business, since he hated it when guys hit girls for no reason or other way around so in situations like that only he was willing to help out. Reno didn’t see that as being the case at the moment so he didn’t walk over to help. However he was paying a close watch on the couple just in case. However Reno wasn’t watching them none stop so, he only watched them here and there but it was enough for him either way. “So, are you a college student or are you a graduate?” he asked her over sudden curiously.

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 5:32 am

A bounty hunter, it was a bit of a shock and impressive too. It wasn’t every day that she ran into someone of that profession. Her own profession was exciting in its own but, when it could be avoided, Audrey didn’t mention what she really did or who she really was for that matter. When she was under her brothers had made a fantasy about it. They had to keep a secret identity like Clark Kent because what they did saved people and no one could know. That notion just seemed silly now. Every person that Audrey saved was another person that was made aware of the things that really lurked in the night and was also made aware of who she was. There was a certain, silent understanding that kept people from babbling their mouths about it though.

“That seems exciting, being a bounty hunter. I bet it’s dangerous too!” Audrey sounded like some gushing schoolgirl but it was better to come off that way, she figured. Being a bounty hunter probably was a glamorous profession and rewarding too but Audrey really couldn’t see how it could be dangerous, at least not in comparison to what she did. Vince was a commendable person though and she respected him for that. It still didn’t make her all that inclined to be truthful with him.

“Me, I’m in Vegas just to let loose. You know one of those last flings before I buckle down again.” Audrey buckling down didn’t seem like anything that was even in the remote sense ever going to happen but she had to tell Vince something. She was only twenty-two. Women her age were supposed to be fancy-free and in school getting a proper education to become someone valuable to society. The thing was Audrey already was someone valuable to society, the bulk of it just didn’t know it. Audrey blushed ducking her head slightly at the mention of her name being pretty and drank down a little more of her coffee, feigning embarrassment at the compliment.

“It’s quite alright, Vince. Thank you.” She wasn’t really embarrassed of course and deceiving him when he seemed so nice seemed wrong but Audrey had to keep it up. Vince was already on his second cup of coffee and Audrey still had half a cup full. But then being a bigger person than she was it made sense that Vince would drink more and more quickly than she would. “Yeah, I’m in my freshman year of my Graduates Degree.” That was where twenty-two year olds were supposed to be by that point, right? “But tell me more about being a bounty hunter, Vince. Do you like it? What is the craziest case you’ve ever worked?”

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 1:00 pm

After he replied to her he just looked at her and watched her reaction. Reno knew that it wasn’t everyday people met a bounty hunter, as it was by chance he met Chey and Bobby on the day he was on the right and it was by chance that he joined them so he understood if it surprised and shocked her that she met a bounty hunter. If he was the first one she met of course but if not then not, it was cool if it wasn’t her first time meeting a bounty hunter but he had a feeling that it was. Reno watched her curiously as he wondered what was she doing for her leaving. She didn’t look to him like someone younger then 20 and older then 26 years old but then again looks could be deceiving. After all he did meet people who looked either younger then their age or older, so it wouldn’t surprise him if it was the case now. Reno did thought that she was rather attractive but that didn’t mean anything so as he wasn’t going to hit on her and all that. Considering he wasn’t interested in dating and it wasn’t personal it was just the way he was. Reno however was interested to know more about her and know if they could be just friends or more then that. Even if he tried to convince himself he didn’t want a relationship yet things still happened to change that, but it wasn’t his doing so. However, at that moment all he was trying to do was make a conversation and that was it. All he wanted to do was have a conversation and see where it lead them and that was it. In this case so, Reno doubted that they were going to be more then friends but still it didn’t hurt him at all to have a conversation. Which was exactly what he was doing.

“Well it is exciting, believe me as well as scary and dangerous too. Just like anything else really. It is more dangerous then you think. Yet like everything else that too got it’s ups and downs trust me” Reno said to her, he noticed her tone which was interesting but it wasn’t a bad thing so. He knew some people who saw bounty hunting job glamorous and rewarding so it wasn’t going to surprise him if she was that way but he personally only saw it as a dangerous, interesting and rewarding as well as a good profession but not much as glamorous, in fact he didn’t see it as glamorous at all. Then again it was just him but still, well at least he thought that it was just him, well just him and Chey but still. Reno was the way he was because he was raised by good people and taught too, as well as he enjoyed being the way he was and wasn’t planning to change. He did wish that she was truthful with him but even if she wasn’t it was alright as he wasn’t going to push her, but he did understand her for not being truthful with him. It was just fine with him as he hoped that one day she would feel that she could be completely honest with him, but he was fine with waiting until that day came so.

“I see, well that sounds really fun. Getting loose is a good reason to come here too. Yeah I got ya, it’s cool though. Are you getting married and came here to relax before that or are you here just to let loose and that’s it? “ he said to her as he wondered if he got her right or not just to be sure. Reno had a feeling that she was hiding things and lying here and there but he wasn’t sure, however he didn’t plan to tell her that either as it was alright because she didn’t owe him anything. He wondered if she was a college student or if she graduated college already but he didn’t mind the fact that she wanted to keep to herself, if she wanted to keep that to herself that is. Reno watched her and sighed as he lifted an eye brow slightly amused but not in a mean way so by her ducking her head lightly by him telling her that her name was pretty. “You alright? Sorry if I embarrassed you. Did I? your name is very pretty so” he said to her with a smile. Reno really didn’t mean to make her feel embarrassed or anything, it just happened but he did meant to say that her name was pretty because he seriously thought that.

“Alright then, that is good and you are welcome, Audrey.” he said to her and sighed as he also smiled sweetly at her. Reno did hope that sooner or later she would feel that she could trust as well as he was sure of it, but if not it was alright too. At least he thought that it was anyway. It was true that Reno now was on his second cop but it was just fine so. Besides it didn’t matter who drink more as it wasn’t a contest, at least not as far as he was concerned. Reno was just thirsty so he drank, that was all. He planned to order some juice after the coffee because he didn’t want to seem addicted to coffee and all. Reno sighed as he looked down and took another sip off his coffee and after that he looked back at her and smiled. “Really? That is cool. Sounds like fun. Do you already know what are you going to do after that? Are you going to work at the profession you studied for or are you planning to search for a temp job and then look for an official job?” he said to her as he wondered what was she going to reply to him on that. Reno watched her closely then looked down and back at her. He listened to her as he smiled at her. “More? Alright and I do like it, being a bounty hunter is fun but it can be annoying and a pain at times too. After all like everything else that too got some ups and downs. Craziest case? Un let’s see, there was many. Like the store robbery for example, I had an unexpected help with this one even so only one friend of mine believed me and the other didn’t. there are many more. In fact it is so many that it will take forever to tell. I had a case where I had to let the guy go because he wasn’t as cruel as his gang members and all, he was like a modern day Robin Hood, for real. That was another crazy case and there are many more crazy cases like that” Reno said to her.

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 2:48 pm

Audrey giggled at the very idea of getting married in Vegas. Although if she were to get married sometime in the future it probably would be at some cheesy Vegas chapel, maybe the Elvis Chapel. A traditional wedding for her would be impossible. That would mean that she would have to known people more intimately than the hunters she was acquainted with from The Roadhouse or run ins on cases. There were her brothers but getting them together at the same time was a rare thing. Unlike some the Knox family hunted separately thinking that they were better to the general public going at it solo. It wasn’t the safest thing, hunting alone, and it got lonely but Audrey didn’t complain. “I don’t really see myself getting married any time soon.”

During the small silences between them Audrey took in the scenery. Coffee shops were almost as entertaining to observe as malls. The people that came bustling in and out all were such a wide variety. Twice now she’d seen two groups of drunken people come and get coffee pouring liquor in it to make it Irish- a bit of hair of the dog to sooth their hangovers. There were also a lot of pretty women in tight clothing, not wanting to jump to conclusions but doing so anyway, Audrey pegged them as streetwalkers and strippers. She didn’t look down on people like that. If they wanted to sell their bodies so be it. Sometimes it was the only thing that these girls had to offer. There were also a lot of guys in business suits stopping in for their morning coffee, probably lawyers, pit bosses, and club owners. She found it interesting how some many different people all came to the same place and no one really seemed to care. Not that she did care but she was at least aware of the diversity unlike most who were all off in their own little worlds.

“Modern day Robin Hood, huh? That’s kind of sweet when you think about it.” Her family had been pretty well off, her and her brothers even had a trust fund that they rarely dipped into, but they had never been greedy with their fortunes. Her mother was very active in the community and charities and her father donated money, although not his time because he was too busy, regularly. The idea of taking from the rich and giving to the needy was noble even though it was illegal so Audrey could commend Vince for letting the guy go. You couldn’t really hate a guy like Robin Hood, well at least if you were the guy he was stealing from.

Deciding that she might as well keep the conversation going Audrey came back to Vince’s question about her future. “Well I’m an English major so after Grad school I’m going to apply to be a elementary school English teacher.” She smiled fondly at the idea of it. “I love kids.” Truth be told Audrey didn’t actually know that many children and the children that she did know she didn’t spend a lot of time around so that statement was moot. Audrey was fairly certain though that she didn’t hate kids.

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySat Oct 30, 2010 9:34 pm

Reno watched her as he picked an eye brow and giggled himself with her. He watched her closely wondering what was she thinking about and what was she going to say next. Reno wish he could get married one day and have his own family but with all that was happening in his life lately he doubted that it was even possible at all. He looked down then back at her as he still wondered the same thing. Reno here and there imagined seeing Val walked in only to find out that either no one was there or some unknown woman walked in but that was it. The last time he saw a woman that reminded him off Val, he ended up finding out that in an interesting way she was her reincarnation but not this time. This time it was just because he wished that she was still alive. As well as it was because he missed her and all that. After all she was the love of his life, well one of them anyhow as Cheyenne Phillips and Lisa Benedetti was, as well as Janet and many others were his love lives too. After all no matter how long passed he still loved them a great deal no matter what. “I see, well it sounded like you said that you are here for one last fling before you are getting married, at least it seemed like you did but I see, got ya”

During the small silence between them Reno checked his cell phone only to find that there were no missing calls or unanswered messages as he sighed and looked at her again. He then looked around as he was surprised that there were more people inside then when he first came there or even more then when Audrey walked in. which seemed very interesting to him. Reno saw that there were many people that looked like they were after work and such. He did see some cops walk in and out but now of them looked at him so which was a plus. Reno noticed that even pretty girls with fancy clothes walked in, some looked like girls that he won’t ever go to because he wasn’t the kind of guy to sleep with girls and pay for it. He slept with girls that he liked and who liked him, when he slept with someone it was because they both were interested in that. It wasn’t always planned that they will sleep together even so they ended up sleeping together anyway but it wasn’t ever forceful so. Even when he was undercover and pretended to make out with a bad woman he never went all the way with them, because he either needed to leave temporary or they figure out who he was. Especially when he was pretending to be a guy who sleeps with a girl for money, it was an under cover job to help Bobby’s ex fiancé’ as well as to help other innocent women too. Even in that case it never went further then kissing, they pretended but eventually the woman helped him to catch and get the bad guys arrested. In return he helped her get her husband back but it’s a different story all together. The point was that Reno felt sorry for woman and mad who did that for money.

“Yep, modern day Robin Hood, believe it or not. I agree, he and his gang rubbed the rich and gave it to themselves and people they loved. The leader was more like Robin Hood then his gang. His gang was more like the Sheriff’s man then Robin Hood’s man but they are a bit like Robin Hood’s gang so but not by much so.” he said as he took another sip of his drink then looked back at her and sighed. Reno looked down then back at her, he wasn’t rich but he had a trust fund made by Bobby, his boss and partner just for him. Reno never thought that his boss would do that but he did and he was grateful for that. He really were but then again who wouldn’t after all it was sweet. Knowing Robert or Bobby for short you wouldn’t believe that he would do that but he did. It was just as hard to believe as the fact that he met a modern day Robin Hood. He admired the guy and his dreams which was why he let him go. When the guy offered him to cross the border with him, he said that he couldn’t as tempting as it might sound. Considering Reno still believed deep down inside that he will get free sooner or later. Besides he didn’t want to leave because he felt that he belonged in Bay City, California then anywhere else.

He looked at her over sudden as he heard her speak and listened to her with a smile. Reno enjoyed talking with her, he really did. “Really? Sounds like fun. Did you always wanted to be a teacher or you used to want to do something else before but then changed your mind?” he asked her curiously. Reno looked at her very impressed. “Me too. I am just scared of being a father myself because I don’t think I am that good. Also a lots of people say I will be a great dad. I used to think I was a father because my ex lied to me because she was scared to be admit her son’s father was the bad guy she had a short term relationship with. I found out eventually but I still see him as my son, while he so it seems still sees me as his dad” Reno said to her. He looked down then back at her as he took another sip from his coffee. Reno was curious to know more about her but only if she let him know more about her. Since he wasn’t going to force her so it was up to her what to tell him about herself and what not to. Reno was glad however that they both loved kids just because kids was precious and important, no more no less.

Audrey was actually surprised that Vince wasn’t already married. He was a good-looking guy, was employed, and seemed nice enough. Most women would jump at the chance to be with him and settle down. She thought twenty-two was a bit young to be getting hitched but Vince appeared to be older than she was. In his mid thirty’s maybe? The life of a bounty hunter did have similarities to the life of a hunter, such as herself. Professions that took you all over the place, both dealt in danger, and both dealt with evils. Granted the evils that Vince faced weren’t supernatural- kill with super strength or other funky mojo but still a breed of evil. Maybe marriage just wasn’t in the cards for Vince because of his hectic career choice. It made sense.

Her coffee was almost completely drained by the time that Vince started talking about the Robin Hood case again. It was sweet in a totally messed up sort of way that someone that had the gall to be in a gang could have such dignified intentions. Pre-conversation Audrey had been under the impression, stereotypical as it might have been, that gangs were full of a bunch of punk kids with nothing better to do than shoot people, deal drugs, and make rude comments about people that weren’t exactly the way they were. Setting her coffee cup on the table Audrey leaned back in her seat crossing one long leg over the other, resting her hands in her lap. Someone brushed against her while she was in that position, a small boy being toting along hand-in-hand with a middle-aged woman who seemed to be in an awful hurry. He apologized quickly and Audrey smiled kindly at him telling him that it was all right. Maybe she really did like kids. At least well mannered ones.

“No, not always.” Audrey’s life had been real family oriented, bright and cheery when she was a kid and becoming a teacher was hardly the aspirations of a little girl. She had gone through many of phases when it came to deciding her future. That life seemed so distant to Audrey though. It barely even felt, now that she was dwelling on it, like her past was her own. That life, those people, the person she once was seemed like someone else’s memories all together. Audrey had been changed from a sweet, innocent young girl to the hard, brutally aware, young woman she was now. “When I was little I wanted to be a singer like Brittany Spears, the next pop idol, loved and adored by millions around the world. I thought it would be really glamorous. Turns out though that I can’t carry a tune to save my life so, sadly, that dream was never fulfilled.” She was being serious but still a light smile was perched on her lips.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 4:04 am

Reno watched her and sighed, he was sure that she was surprised that he wasn’t married yet. Which surprised him too but what could you do. Things don’t always go as planned that was for sure. Reno was close to get married more then once but it never happened. Even so he was told that he was a good looking guy and nice too so anyone would want to marry him. Many girls did want to marry him but not ones he wanted. The ones he wanted to marry to it never worked up which hurt even him but there was nothing he could do about that so. Reno even was involved with a twenty year old once but they never got to serious since he had to leave and all, but if he stayed maybe they would have got more closer and even married by now but the fact was it didn’t happen and that was that. He wasn’t the guy that cared about an age, as long as the girl wasn’t a teenager that was all he cared for. Also Reno wasn’t the guy who slept with a 20 year old, even if they liked each other and especially if there was only an attraction there because he wasn’t like that. Reno didn’t mind waiting until a girl got 21 to go to the next step with her, since he was a nice, caring and patient guy. The two people that he got close to marrying the most were Val, his deceased Fiancé’ and Chey Phillips, but Val died before they tied the knot ad Unfortunately Chey turned him down. Even so Chey left after that and came back but he doubted that they had a chance together so.

He looked at her and sighed as he looked in her cop then at her, as he talked about the modern day Robin Hood case again. “If you want you next coffee could be on me, I won’t mind paying” he said to her over sudden. Reno was sure that the case sounded strange and all as he himself thought so too as well as some others he told about it thought that too. He did thing it was sweet in a twisted way that the guy who choose to be in a gang had good intention as it didn’t always happened but that time it did happen so. Before Reno met the guy and all he believed that the gang was all ruthless and cruel and needed to be stopped but after that he didn’t think that about them all. The leader seemed as a better guy then he thought. That was amazing, at least as far as he was concerned it was so anyway. The leader could have let the gang members hurt him but he didn’t. he could have allowed his gang hurt the people they rubbed but he didn’t. left most if not all of them humiliated? Yes he did but more then that? Not at all. Which was surprising but interesting too. Reno watched her as he thought about it all then shock that thoughts out of his head as he then took another sip off his coffee. When some brushed by the girl he set with he noticed that it was a young boy with an older woman that seemed in hurry. It was no doubt a grandmother and her grandson. He smiled at them then looked back at Audrey with a smile. Reno heard the boy apologize to Audrey and saw her smile at him, just as he saw the boy smile back which made him smile at both. He heard what Audrey told the boy which was good and impressive as well. There were not many people like that, so it was good when you met some that were. That was for sure or so he thought anyway.

“I see, well usually it is that way. Seems one time you think you want to be one thing, which is when you are younger but once older you decide that you want to be something else, since what interested you before didn’t seem interesting to you at that moment anymore” he said to her. Reno’s life were pretty good when he was a kid and there were moments when he wanted to be a cop, and other moments when he wanted to be a pilot or something completely different. Yet eventually he decided to be a cop so he went to the police academy and after that became a cop. Then when he Met Val he was starting to rethink his life. When they got engaged and all he agreed to take one last case before he retired all together. Also he had no idea what was he going to do instead but he was sure that he would come up with something. However before he finished the case and retire and everything else his fiancé’ got shot with a bullet meant for him and he became a fugitive even so he was innocent but not many believed that, which was a problem for sure. He still wished even now that he could one day clear his name but so far he doubted so. However, people that didn’t judge him and people who supported him and encouraged him to keep fighting for his freedom and all were the ones that kept him going, as long as someone believed in him and fought for him that all that mattered. As Reno heard her speak again he cleared his mind from all the thoughts he had and just listened to her. “Really? Well most little girls are like that. Some boys too but musty girls so. More girls then boys are like that. Well to some people dream like that ends up to come true and to others it’s not. It isn’t anyone’s fault it is just how life is, that is all” he said to her. “What I was originally planning to be like a pilot or something like that. It also never came to be because it wasn’t for me as well as my dream changed when I got older.” Reno added. “I was in the army so. I was a ranger and finished with successes so. That was something too” he said to her. “After that I decided to be a cop but when I was thinking of quitting it never happened and then I became a bounty hunter” he added. As he saw her smile, he smiled back at her.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 4:36 am

“Thanks for the offer but I’m a one coffee kind of girl. Too much makes me jumpy and, trust me, its not a pretty sight. Hilarious in an embarrassing sort of way though.” Audrey wasn’t too much of a coffee drinker. Once she got that first jolt of caffeine it was all that she needed to get her through the rest of the day, or in some cases night. It was really nice of Vince to offer though. Coffee in these sort of places were ridiculously priced when you could buy an entire can of coffee grinds for almost the same price as a small cup at one of these trendy places. The whole shopping market was a big joke to Audrey really. She didn’t understand why people were so materialistic, why they needed to have the most fashionable clothing or the latest technology device. The only materialistic things that Audrey had any concern over were her weapons but she couldn’t very well take a shoddy weapon into the field with her. That could get her killed. Generally, Audrey tried to avoid that.

Some of Audrey’s other childhood dreams had included wanting to be a news reporter when she was seven after seeing the attention that the pretty woman on the television got from adoring fans. It turned out that the news reporter moonlighted as a call girl evenings, ironically enough the story had first broken out of the very news station that she worked for capturing the arrest live. For the longest time after that Audrey had been under the false impression that all people on the television lead secret lives that could get them hulled away to jail. At the age of ten she had wanted to be an author but her creativity was lacking and that dream died away three weeks later. When she was twelve, the same year that her life changed, Audrey had been watching a lot of Court TV and wanted to become a judge. After that though Audrey’s future had been decided for her and the only thing she ever thought about becoming was a hunter.

Vince’s dream of becoming a pilot seemed much more fun to Audrey now than any of her previous aspirations. Maybe being a fighter pilot in some war would have been neat even. She could see Vince as a solider. He had a commanding presence about him and although he was nice, Audrey was sure, he would have made an excellent drill sergeant. “I think bounty hunter suits you.” She announced feathering her hair up lightly with the tips of her fingers. “You’ve got this whole rouge thing about you. I bet you’re like the top bounty hunter in the company you work for too. You are aren’t you?”

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 6:26 am

“I see and alright then, it is probably a lot better then drinking two cops or more for sure. I see and I can imagine that. I understand don‘t worry. I see and interesting. It doesn’t do nothing like that to me but then again I don’t drink to much coffee and all, so yeah” Reno said to her with a smile. He believed her but it was hard for him to imagine her being that way after drinking coffee. He did believe that t was a good thing that she didn’t drink to much coffee as it wasn’t healthy. Reno himself didn’t drink to much coffee either. One or two cops were more then enough for him for sure. “Would you like some water or coke? Or something like that? I won’t mind paying for that” he said to her with a smile. Reno offered that because he was a nice guy and all. No more nor less. He didn’t mind paying just as he didn’t mind offering. Reno did think that coffee in places like that were to expensive, even so they were places less expensive and all. It was true that stores soled a coffee maker at the same price but since he had no home he didn’t need that at all. It interested him that there were people that were more in to fashion and stuff that got all the new things when just as easily they could donate their money or get themselves and their loved ones on less priced vacation in a good place or something like that. Then again he never understood rich people but then again he didn’t want to either. Reno had weapons with him as he was a bounty hunter and like any bounty hunter he too needed some weapons. Also it was true that some of the weapons were not to legal but useful none the less. Reno hated doing that but he needed them as they helped him a lot and all.

Reno watched Audrey as he was curious about what more about herself she could tell him. It might seemed surprising but what she told him so far about herself seemed rather interesting to him for sure. He had many dreams for his future but none of them ever came to pass, sure he became a cop which was nice at first. Yet it didn’t felt like him to him once he got engaged to Val. However, things only went down hill from then. Sure, Reno stop being a cop and that was what he planned but it didn’t happen the way he planned on it so. Other things however were sure not what he wanted nor expected. It was why he stopped believing in his dreams and it was also was why he loosed hope a lot. Sure with help he gained it back but then lost it again, and so on and so forth. Reno did wish that it all was just a nightmare from which he was going to wake up from, then he was sure that he would meet Bobby and Chey different but unfortunately he knew it wasn’t that way and that it won’t ever be that way and accepted it even so it was hard for him to accept that.

He thought that all his dreams and thoughts were all just that, dreams and thoughts. Reno only thought after she died and after he was framed. Right now he couldn’t imagine himself being anything of what he ever imagined himself being, instead he could imagine himself being what he now was. Reno doubted that his life would ever change and accepted it, as he had no other choice and all. He tried not to dream nor wish having his life change for the better because he lost faith in it. Even so at times the spark of hope and faith came back to him, only to leave him again but it hurt him less now to go through that as he was used to it. Yet losing his fiancé’, Val still hurt him even so it was less but it still felt like a nightmare to him and he knew that it would always be that sway. Also Reno was used to that by now. “You really think so? Well thank you. I guess you are right it does fits me more, doesn’t it” he said to her with a smile. Reno watched her and sighed as he looked down then drank all of his coffee and after that he looked back at her. “Do I really? Is it that obvious? Me well my friend think so. My friend is also my boss and partner. He and his little step sister believe that I am a good bounty hunter. My friend Bobby, is the bounty hunter of the month or was it a year?! Never mind the point is he got the award not me. Even so he tried to convince me to get it but I convinced him that if he thinks I really deserve it them we could share and that convinced him to go get the reward. I wasn’t in a mood to go so I stayed behind”

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptySun Oct 31, 2010 3:30 pm

Water Audrey could do. “I would like a water, please.” She smiled up at him. It was always nice to see caring people. That trait seemed to be dwindling in today’s society. All these people were so self-involved and in a hurry that common courtesy had been left behind. Audrey didn’t see how people could live like that. Always rushing about here and there for the most unimportant things. The only time that she rushed was in life or death situations, when someone’s life depended on it and that, she felt, was the only time that rushing was in order. Audrey might have been a sassy person when she was dealing with certain people or creatures but in general she was pretty well mannered and polite. Audrey was always putting on a show for whomever she was around at the time. The real her was hidden deep within and only tid bits of that person came to the surface. Being genuinely friendly, when it wasn’t forced such, as with Vince, was just one trait that Audrey repressed.

“Your welcome. Its no problem though I’m one of those people that calls it like they see it.” This was truth. If Audrey had an opinion about someone she usually was quick to share it with them. For all of her lying and deceiving Audrey was really good about being truthful about how she felt about other people, or creatures. She didn’t like to mislead people in that sense. If Audrey didn’t like you then she thought it was better, kinder, to tell you flat out rather than giving you a false sense of acceptance- that was just cruel.

She didn’t really know Vince but he did just seem the type to be top dog so it was surprising to hear that someone else had gotten bounty hunter of the month. Vince had been a close second though so that took away some of the shock. “You mean to say that you don’t like getting credit for the things that you do?” Maybe Audrey had interpreted what he had said wrong but not being in the mood to go retrieve an award came across as such. Modesty was a good thing, not that Audrey really had a lot of it, but she did value it in other people.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptyMon Nov 01, 2010 3:06 am

Reno looked at her as he waited for her to reply to him curiously. “Alright then, water it is” he said to her with a smile as he ordered her some water and himself too then he paid for it. Reno did smile back to her when she smiled at him. He knew that it was good to be nice just as it was good meeting nice people, which was why he was glad he met her and why he was glad in the first place. Other then the fact that he was raised to be nice. Also Reno knew there were not many nice people out there but that didn’t mean he didn’t think there were not at all. He just wished there were more nice people in the world. Reno knew that most people this days were in such a hurry to one place or another that they completely forgot the fact that respect and kindness existed. Which was really a shame or so he thought anyways. Reno was sure that she thought like him. Also he knew that he could be wrong but somehow he doubted that so. Then again who knew. Reno wondered why were people in such a hurry that forgot politeness and kindness. He believed that Audrey wondered the same thing, not that it surprised him or anything but still. When it was life and death situation then rushing was fine but other wise it was rather dumb. He knew that Chey and Bobby agreed with him on it as well as thought the same as he did and he was sure that Audrey agreed with him on it or at least he hoped so anyway. Reno did hid the real him when on cases and when he was under cover but other then that he didn’t. If he wasn’t under cover working on a case then the real him tend to come. Reno thought she was better mannered then some of the people he knew which was good. Most people he knew were well mannered and polite but the ones he knew and were not well mannered and polite didn’t count as friends to him, that was for sure.

“Aww, that’s so sweet. I can tell and that is good. I am the same way, so some people will say it’s not true but who knows me will say it is” he said to her which was the truth. Also he tried to be nice and not mean, so he only said the good things but he still called it as he saw it like her. Even so it could have been not 100 percent like her but then again no one was 100 percent a like anyways. Reno hated misleading people as he was sure she was the same way, at least it seemed that way to him. Also he lied he still told the truth a lot because that how he was. What he lied about so he wished that he didn’t had to but he did. At times Reno did say a painful truth like when he didn’t like someone and all but only when he saw that he had to. Like when a girl thought they were in a relation when they weren‘t and stuff like that, other wise he only said the good truth not bad.

Also they didn’t know each other well he liked her a bit more then a friend but mostly he liked her as a friend only. Reno figured that she liked Bobby and many others thought that he deserved being a bounty hunter of the month, maybe it was true but in the situation he currently was it, that wasn’t an option at all. Besides he thought that Bobby was better since all he knew about bounty hunting he learned from him. Besides being second place was good too. “No no no no, not all. That’s not what I am saying at all. But what I am saying is that he deserved it more then me. If not for him I wouldn’t be that good of a bounty hunter that I am. He taught me all there is to know about bounty hunting. If it wasn’t for him and his kindness I wouldn’t have been a bounty hunter at all. Instead I would have been going Around and driving myself crazy and all. Yet he took me under his wing and taught me everything to do with bounty hunting. I owe him for doing that and I guess I always will” he said to her. “Besides he was chosen not me. He was the one who choose me the other bounty hunters choose him automatically. He was the one who was invited to the award show to get it. Not me. He was the one that didn’t want to go because he didn’t see himself worthy of it not me. I just didn’t go because I wasn’t in the mood, I was still cheering him but from the office that’s all. I was with him in my heart so since we are like brothers and all.” Reno said to her as he hoped that she understood better now. He was modest just like his best friend Bobby was, which was a good thing.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 3:34 am

“Thanks.” Audrey took the water off Vince’s hands when he came back with it and immediately twisted off the cap taking a swig. After having drank the hot coffee it was refreshing to pour cool water down her throat. It left a fresh feeling in her mouth that was far more pleasant than the previous liquids after effect. Listening to Vince speak though was entertaining. It had been a long while since someone had called her sweet. Demons didn’t really give out compliments that often. Audrey was used to being called obscenities that would put a sailor to shame. The mouths on demons were so very filthy. Maybe that was part of the reason that she enjoyed sending them straight back to hell.

Being in civilized company was a welcome change too. The roadhouses that hunters, including herself, frequented were quite a different scene from the coffee shop they were in. While here it was busy but relatively quiet and serene, roadhouses took on a different approach. Some rock song would be playing loudly from an old juke box, the patrons were drinking alcohol and passing along crude and/ or violent war stories or information about one thing or another that someone was hunting, and it was all rather hardcore in comparison to the clean cut establishment of the coffee shop.

“I know what its like to owe everything to someone else.” Rory was to Audrey what Bobby was to Vince. Rory had raised her from the age of twelve to track and kills beings of all different types. It was uncanny the life that she led. While other teenage girls were worried about being popular and having the best boyfriend Audrey had been more concerned about staying alive and having the best weaponry. It had made her an outcast in the schools that she went to over the years. Rory had managed to keep them at one school for a year or two at a time putting Audrey’s eldest brother in charge of watching out for them while he worked cases, but every two years, sometimes sooner, the Knox children relocated and Audrey had to start all over again. It was in high school that she had first learned how to act like a different person. That skilled had helped her later in life when she became a hunter herself. So she understood where Vince was coming from.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 4:36 am

“You are welcome, I said only the truth. As well as you are very welcome for the drink” he said to her and watched her take the water of his hands, after he returned with their drinks. Reno watched her twist the cup and take a sip from her drink as he took a sip from his new drink. He smiled at her as he hoped that she liked the water and all. Reno was glad that he could at least help with something. He wondered if she was alright since she wasn’t talking but figured that she was just enjoying the drink, not that it surprised him if it was so, since after drinking something hot the cold drink make any person feel different and all. Reno figured that she must have been feeling that way which was good, as long as she felt good not bad. He was surprised but happy that she listened to him talk, it seemed like everything he told her was interesting to her which was a good thing of course. Reno was glad to know that it interested her, he had no doubt that it won’t interest a lot of people so when it did interested someone then he took it completely by surprise, since it wasn’t what he expected at all.

He was glad to hang out with good people for once since with criminals there were no point to hang out with since he ended up arresting them anyway. Besides even when Reno did hang out with criminals it was undercover, since he hated criminals and wouldn’t be caught dead hanging with them for real. Only one criminal he didn’t care hanging out with, the one who he told her about. That was an exception so, since the guy wasn’t as bad as other criminals he knew, considering he only stole money but cared for people. So he saw no reason arresting him. Reno understood the guy well and all because even when his cover was revealed the guy was friendly and kind with him, even so he lied about being a bounty hunter and all. Not to mention the guy saved his life and all, which meant a lot to him. Most criminals wouldn’t bother saving him but the guy wasn’t like most so. Anyway, right about now he was very grateful that he had someone to talk to. Reno was thinking what else should he tell her and all.

“You do? No surprise as most people do if not all” he said as he was a bit surprised by that on one hand but on other hand he wasn’t to surprised. Reno looked around at all the people around them then back at her. He was surprised that now there were more people in then there were before, but he figured that it must have been before the place was good and maybe even popular too. Reno wondered to know more about her but waited for her to tell him, instead of asking her herself and all. Reno believed that it would be better that way. However if she didn’t tell him then he might actually ask her himself, then again who knows. He might actually not ask her at all and she won’t tell him. Then again Reno might ask and she won’t tell him. Either way was fine even if he wanted to know or not, as it was her right not to tell him or tell him. He believed that it would be good if she told him but he wasn’t going to do anything drastic about it being the guy that he was and all. If he was uncover and the criminals he was trying to catch were around then he would have been cruel and selfish, etc towards her but he wasn’t undercover and they were not there so he was just being himself. The good guy that he really was. Reno did hoped that she would feel that she could trust him because it was true, she could trust him if she really wanted to trust him and all.

PostSubject: Re: time to relax(Audry knox/open)   time to relax(Audry knox/open) EmptyTue Nov 02, 2010 9:03 pm

What harm would it have really done if Audrey did tell Vince the truth? Maybe not in terms of what she really did for a living because he was an ex cop and a bounty hunter on top of that; hunters didn’t really operate under the laws of man. They trespassed, vandalized, stole, murdered even but not humans so it wasn’t really illegal. The general population were happy to think that all those things that go bump in the night are only stories, myths that they tell their children for spooky bedtime stories or for entertainment in movies but the fact of the matter was it was all real. The law didn’t have guidelines as to how to deal with monsters so as far as Audrey was concerned she wasn’t a criminal at least not a murderer. Everything she did could classify her as one though.

“Yeah, my parents were killed when I was twelve.” She looked down at the table her fingernail absently tracing over the lines on it. “This guy that my mom knew, Rory,” Granted her mom hadn’t known Rory previous to the death of her husband but Audrey was editing the story slightly to make things seem a little more believable. “He took me and my two brother in after they died and raised us. Taught everything we know, saved our lives.” Audrey looked back up at Vince and smiled weakly. “So I get what you mean about your friend Bobby.” Vince was the only non-hunter that knew that about her. She didn’t talk about it and the hunters that she came across didn’t ask. It was a rather well known fact amongst everyone. Each hunter had their reasons for hunting and the Knox children had their reason too.

The coffee shop was becoming more and more crowded and Audrey didn’t mind all that much but if they were going to continue talking than the coffee shop wasn’t the best place. The noise level was increasing along with the patronage. “Do you want to go for a walk or something, get out of here?” If Vince wasn’t still into talking that was fine. Audrey could find something else to do but after telling him about her parents Audrey didn’t think that leaving things like that was the best thing. The first time she was opening up to someone she couldn’t just walk away leaving that on Vince’s mind it seemed too cruel.

time to relax(Audry knox/open) Empty

Reno wondered if she will tell him something more about herself or will she decide not to. Sure it was fine if she decided not to but it will feel strange to him and a bit uneasy because he told her more about himself then she told him about herself, however he wasn’t going to be to upset about that. Reno understood that some people couldn’t tell much about themselves. He never believed in supernatural, in fact he didn’t believe it even now, also it is after he saw the ghost. Reno was sure that the fact that he saw the ghost was just a chance. He believed that there was a normal explanation to that, there had to be he was sure of it. Even so Sandy tried to convince that maybe he is just to scared to face the facts that ghosts are real, also she tried to convince him that it was because he was between life and death he became more open to the spiritual side. Chey was surprised when she heard about but wasn’t sure what to think, however she seemed to agree more with sandy then with Bobby so. Bobby didn’t believe it even so he had no idea for sure how did Reno knew what he did to be able to stop the bad guys, yet was glad that he did. Reno was still rather confused and unsure about the whole thing. It was all rather to strange for him. Reno tried not to think about because as far as he was concerned he imagined seeing the ghost and it wasn’t the ghost who told him, it was just the fact that he was good at what he was doing as well as he believed that it was luck and gut feeling that helped him. Sure Reno did start to believe that it was all real at the time but the fact that he found the wedding ring and returned it, still bothered him. In fact he still had no idea how he found it but doubted that the ghost had anything to do with it.

“Ouch, sorry to hear that. That must suck for sure. I know how it’s like losing a parent, my mom died when I was 16, 16 and a half, something like it. She died after my brother supposedly died but he never truly died but she never knew that. Me and dad grew a part. We did started talking again eventually but now we can’t because I am busy and all” Reno said ti her as he watched what she did then looked back at her. “What about him?” he asked her curiously as he wondered what did she deal with. Reno waited for her to continue as he wondered what was she about to say as it was clear that she wanted to say something. As she kept talking he listened to her once more. “He did? That’s really sweet of him. It really is. He sounds like a great guy to me then. Seriously? Well then am glad to hear that. That’s a great news. I really want to meet him and tell him that he did a great thing” he watched her and smiled back at her. “Sounds like it, he is not only my friend but my boss and my partner. It is good thing that Rory is in your life then and Bobby in mine” Reno said to her. He was surprised that she told him about herself but also glad, because it meant she knew she could trust him which was a good thing. Sure he felt bad that she and her siblings lost their parents but was also glad that someone cared for them after their parents died. The interesting thing was that they had some things in common but not a lot. At least by what she told him so far. They both lost people that they cared for but then again it didn’t really surprised him since most people lost people they loved and many still do. Which he knew that but it was still surprising. He thought she was a good person and kind so she didn’t deserve to go through that at all. They both lost a mother but he lost his fiancé’ too, which by what he understood so far she never lost someone with whom she had a relationship with, like he did. So that meant they did had things not in common not that it surprised him or anything.

Reno noticed that the coffee shop was becoming more and more crowded and it was alright but the thing was, he wanted to keep talking to her but the place wasn’t good enough for that. There was to much noise and to much people inside for them to keep talking. “Yes sure, sounds good to me. Good idea as it’s to noisy and way to crowded for us to keep talking and all” Reno said as he really did like her idea and wanted to keep talking. He liked talking to her even so they both had sad stories to tell and good ones too. Reno agreed with her suggestion because for one it was a good suggestion and two because he was starting to feel the same. Besides talking in there seemed to much like a bad idea then a good one.

Vince meeting Rory, it didn’t seem like it would ever happen. He was still a hunter even in his old age and with her being one as well it wasn’t too often that they crossed paths. When they did it was never for very long either. Maybe a day at the most but they talk on the phone at least once a week. Both to make sure the other was still alive and to help with research for cases. It was the same with her brothers- hunter networking. Uncle Rory was a real character. He had a cynical and quick-witted personality that made him a bitter but funny old man. Rory was a no nonsense kind of person and he was one tough S.O.B. to boot. In a lot of ways Audrey was like him. She had picked up personality traits from the man that raised her into her teenage years and Audrey was glad for it. He was an admirable man once you looked passed all the bluster that he put out for all to see.

Still, there were things about Vince that Rory would like. He was amiable, seemed to genuinely care for the human race and took action to keep it safe. Rory would come to the same conclusion that Audrey did; that Vince was just like a hunter only he kept the streets clean of human foes. It was something to respect. “It must be nice to work with someone that you’re so close to.” She tried to imagine what it would be like to work with her brothers. Audrey had a feeling that, after doing it solo for so long, they would drive each other crazy, but maybe not. There was a chance that it would make them all that much stronger. It was something to take into consideration if they would go for it. If it didn’t work out there was always the option of going back to solo hunting.

Audrey stood up grabbing her water bottle off the table and waited for Vince to follow suit. Los Vegas was a big place with plenty of locations to walk around. They could just take a stroll along the strip and check out some of the shops. Audrey had money to spend from her winnings the night before but the thing about Los Vegas was that there weren’t many things that she would want to own. They sold flashy items like jewelry and clothing. Audrey doubted that they had a knife shop where she could find a decent blade or anything of the sort. Besides buying those sorts of things in Vegas was risky. There were cameras everywhere and doing that with Vince would probably send up a red flag. What would a college student wanting to be an elementary teacher need with knives?
